Drug and Alcohol Supervisor Training and Reasonable Suspicion Testing

Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulation, Part 382.603, requires persons designated to supervise drivers receive at least 60 minutes of training on alcohol misuse and receive at least an additional 60 minutes of training on controlled substance use. Drug and Alcohol Supervisor Training is required for Dispatchers, Terminal Managers, etc. If you have any questions consult CP 1.11.3 or call Training or HR. Training material for this Training may be obtained by contacting the Training Department. Forms for documenting Drug and Alcohol Supervisor Training are available on the Web Site under Forms.

The following is a quote from Company Policy - CP 1.11.3: All supervisory personnel subject to making a determination of reasonable suspicion testing will receive at least 60 minutes of training on alcohol misuse and will receive at least 60 minutes of training on controlled substances use in accordance with subpart 382.603 of FMCSR. Determination of reasonable suspicion testing will be discussed with the Company's Human Recources Manager PRIOR to testing.
